A lot of developers have not yet understood the importance of gameification. This is one of the key building blocks of mobile applications for pretty much anything. Whether its getting a mobile workforce to complete their paperwork or helping a tourist appreciate all the locations you want them to see in your city or area.
Part of the problem may be that the concept of game puts people off. But if you have a location based app that isn’t being picked up and you think it is an amazing app, maybe this is something you should be thinking about.
