I’m a futurist (member of the World Future Society) f you are interested in the future Hopefully you’ll be in it!), you may also be interested in my blog The Future Diaries.

I am also Director and songwriter for Cappel Songwriting .

I am a founder member of Imersia. We are involved in a wide variety of areas around mobile devices,  including location based services, proximity based marketing, Augmented Reality, M2M, gamification and wayfinding, such as indoor and outdoor navigation.

I wrote and published Unleashing the Road Warrior and have written for many magazines and publications as well as technology white papers.

Paying it forward: I have over the years held positions including President of the NZ Wireless Forum, Vice President of the NZ Sales & Marketing Institute, President of the Glenfield Music Centre, President of Auckland Landyacht Club and ran my own businesses including Mission Control (A wireless computing consultancy) and the NZ Smartphone & PDA Academy.

I have chaired and spoken at ITC industry conferences from Paris to Johannesburg to Auckland New Zealand and many more.

I’m exploring things like location based proximity marketing, location based applications, game mechanics and pretty much anything that takes my fancy. I enjoy writing and have an opinion on most things:)

You will find my songs on lots of websites, mostly for free, so get in quick before I am famous and they cost much more. If you are an artist looking for a song, give me a yell. I had a podcast called A Kiwi Songwriter (now suffering from podfade) and an infrequent blog about Songwriting. You will also find me on Twitter and LinkedIn. I have also recently set up to Scoop.it pages The Song Writer and Location is Everywhere.

I love engaging with people, so please feel free to leave comments or ask questions. Need a hand with your blogging or other aspect of your business. Try me. If I can’t help, one of my associates probably can. I’m pretty well connected:)

  1. Luigi, I REALLY need to keep up a little more. I had no idea about what you’re going through and I’m sorry. The good news is, you are who you are and I’m confident that if anyone can get through this crap, Luigi can. So much love from your old friend on the other side of the small world. Auntie.

    • Hey Janice, thanks for that mate. It’s been a while since we caught up. I hope things are going well for you and yours. We’re having an awesome hot summer and I’m hoping that will last a lot longer. I have great support from family and friends and it’s awesome to see more like yourself popping up with messages. Really appreciate it:)

  2. Re ‘will New Orleans be the first major city to be abandoned because of global warming?’ Im next…..my house sits on the flood zone already. Water has soaked up my back yard. Joe may even deck ALL around the house so that he can walk to his Vege garden. Hmmm. Its not a good time to live on Auckland’s North Shore. Truly doomed.
    +1

  4. Harriet, if it’s not salt water you could consider hydroponics or perhaps you could do some fishing from the deck.

One of the scary things is that most of Auckland sits on clay and when it gets waterlogged it turns to mush and everything on top will slide off. That happened to a cul de sac a couple of hundred metres from where I live and half the road has slipped away.

I would be very careful buying property right now.
